Good to know, was thinking it probably wouldn’t be worth it in the end. They shoot good enough and got good deals on them, it is what it is. Definitely makes me appreciate the nicer ones more!
That is tougher to do. You can have the frame welded and machined, you can squeeze the slide rails a bit to help and you can buy those tail things that tighten it up a bunch, but you kind of mess up the 1911 when they are installed.
I have a 9mm 1911 that has a lot of slop. It’s still and accurate, reliable handgun though even if it does have a healthy dose of battle rattle.
