Picked up a box of rifle and shotgun cleaning stuff at an auction. This was in one of the boxes. I assume the rods go with it as the patina is the same and it can screw into the small rod. IMG_1101.jpeg IMG_1100.jpeg

    Somewhere else
Cleaning rod with a handle. The handle likely has other functions as evidenced by the hex shaped hole. My guess is it is a field tool for a specific firearm. What that firearm is, I haven't a clue.

Makes sense. I was looking at the “handle” as going into a shotgun barrel and could not see what that would do.

My dad has something similar. As I recall when I was a kid I asked him what it was he said it was a tool a used to adjust his 50 cal machine gun in the service.
