LOL, I hadnt seen any of those. Batscope and the HK mag are great.

I would find it difficult to zero that scope in. But, I'm not a professional like they are.

Real operators keep the smooth side out, high speed.. low drag and whatnot.

That was the 2004 catalog. That cover photo happened because the HK commercial sales manager had the cover photo taken and the catalog printed by an outside firm and sent directly to the shot Show without reviewing a final proof. The error was not found until a visitor brought it to their attention. The catalogs were pulled from circulation but not before hundreds made it out.

It is now sort of a cult to post pictures of HK's with a round backwards.

Actually the backward round is in concordance with california carry laws. It is manadatory to carry your loaded mags with the bullets in backwards to prevent any accidental self-defense.

I had to read that post to understand what was wrong in the HK picture.
I was focused on the gun at first and didnt see anything wrong.

So that means that this outside firm, who took the pictures for HK, didnt know anything about firearms and had no "firearm expert" when they made that photo shoot???

That is kinda scary to handle real firearms and live ammo when you dont know anything about guns. They are lucky they put the rounds backwards and therefore didnt shoot themselves, otherwise who knows what could have happend.
