I went with a Shadow System MR920 Elite, with a Trijicon RMR and a quick detach X-300UA with custom Holsters for with/without the light.

The way Shadow Systems redesigned the extractor plunger system to get a plate-less, lower sight picture while keeping longer screws for optics appealed to me over a Glock optic cut, which I do also own.

The safety aspects of a glock designed trigger greatly appeals to me as somone who rides motorcycles with a loaded gun pointed at my fellas.

I used to carry a Ruger Sp101 about 15 years ago but one time I crashed my bike and somehow in the chaos the hammer got cocked. This really freaked me out as it was still in the holster and yes, pointed at my junk.

Also, another time I ran out of ammo with the same SP101 during a gas station incident. I have military experience with running low on ammo and it brought back to many bad vibes. I love that SP101 but I gotta be real.

I'm fairly slim and settled on a p365. Its important to me that it doesn't print and I can carry AIWB comfortably.

Pocket carry a S&W 442 .38 Special revolver. I had a 642 but traded it in for a 442 because the 442's black frame is better hidden in the pocket where hte silver backstrap of the 642 would show in the pocket opening.
Last month, my first gun purchase of 2024 was a second S&W 442, but this one with no lock. So the lock one is used for range practice and dry fire and the slightly used without the lock is for carry. I know this is a good gun as it belonged to the guy who works at the gun shop and he had not shot it much. Here they are:

P365XL for normal EDC, or a regular P365 in a pocket holster occasionally in the summer, or when I'm making a quick trip somewhere.
