What is your favorite shotgun that you have ever shot?

I was visiting a friend in Wisconsin over the summer and we went out to his range to shoot clays (best range I've ever seen!). After shooting my Mossberg 500 all day he pulled some jewels out of his truck. I got to shoot his O/U 410 (can't remember the brand) and his 28 gauge 870 Wingmaster. I've never hit so many clays! Needless to say I've lusted for a O/U 410 ever since! :D

I love all of them that I've shot. Right now I only own a Mossberg 500 and a Stoeger 20g coach gun. Trying to shoot clays with the coach gun isn't easy but it was a good time.

Perazzi MX O/U {dont remember the exact model}...it was the smoothest handling shotgun I have ever shot. way out of my budget though.

Used to have a 20 ga. Browning auto 5 that was responsible for the demise of many a quail! Never shoulda sold it.

And the 870s just seem to "fit" me well. I've had more costly guns but couldn't shoot them as well as the Rem.

Ruger Red Label. I took mine to a gun smith and had the stock cut and a limb saver fit to it. I also really like the Browning Gold.

My Winchester Model 24, 16 gauge choked IC/Mod. The Winchester 24 in 16 was built on the 20 gauge frame (many 16's are on 12 gauge frames). This makes it handle very nicely, especially as I stocked mine with new Fajen wood to fit me precisely. Without a doubt my favorite skeet and upland game gun.

I have had a Remington mod 1100 28ga I have hunted with for about 40 years. This gun is nice and light and still gets out there for birds and bunnys. Liked it so well that I got my son a Remington 1148 years back when he started huntino with me. We don't hunt duck or turkey so it is just a great gun.:):

An older Belgium-made Browning Light 20ga semiauto (the ones with the gold-plated triggers and square back receivers). Smooth.

My Favorite is my (grandpa's) J.C. Higgins (Sears & Roebuck) Model 20, 12 ga. pump. Its a 'plain jane' stock - I think they were made for Sears by Savage / Stevens back in the 50's.

It is SOOO smooth - if the slide is closed and you point the gun up - hit the slide release and it slides all the way open.

The only reason it sits is that I can't use 'steel' shot; and its a modified only choke - so I've added a new 870 express. I hope I can get my 870 this well worn that my grandson wants it ... even if its just the example like the Higgins is for me.

I ain't all that well versed in shotgun shooting...

But my favorite one I've never shot is the 1912-made Winchester 1897 takedown 12ga that I inherited from my grandfather after he passed away.

Me too. There's just something about them I really enjoy. I used to squirrel hunt with mine and learned to shoot my first aerial targets with it. I don't get it out much anymore, but it's always a good time.

I have a Norinco that is an exact copy of a US 1897 Trench Gun. It is a blast to shoot and looks great with a bayonet attached! :yesway:
