Just purchased a Ruger LCR. At 13.5 ozs, plus 38+P's it is a nice piece to have in the pocket. Purchased for my wife, and daughter, just have t get them out to shoot.

I now carry a S&W SW99 in .40 and am liking it so far. Smaller and lighter than my xd-c and conceals great. Paid 399 for mine with 2 12rd mags. Combined with a fobus holster even a regular t-shirt covers it up nicely

I carry an xd9 subcompact. I am amazed at how well it shoots. Compared to the 3at, it is so smooth and flip/sting is nonexist
ant. However, I have to say that the kel-tec disappears so easily.

I carry an M&P 9c. My dad carries a Glock 26, I find the two seem to be pretty comparable, accuracy wise, but the Glock feels weird in my hands after holding my M&P. I'm not sure I like the Glock trigger either.

I carry a M&P 9C or a G27. I would carry the 9C exclusively but the Glock is slightly smaller.
    Also, 3 more rounds of 9mm or .40 cal....decisions decisions...lol

Being that you don't want Glock I think you'll be very happy with the M&P 9C.
