What size folder do you carry?

I thought 4" was the legal limit for a pocket knife, or have I been misinformed?

There is no state laws for blade length, however there may be some cities & towns that have local ordinances concerning blade length.

I have the Griptilian and mini Griptilian awesome knives). I carry the full size for EDC and use along with a Spyderco Manix 2 serrated elsewhere on my person, however, I carry the mini Griptilian when wearing a suit. I also have the Doug Ritter full/mini Griptilian and man, those blades are big!

For everyone that carries something bigger than 3.5".... What do you need all of that length for?

When I first bought a knife to carry all the time, it was 4 inches...just stuck with that from then on. I have a SOG Flash2 that I carry sometimes if I want something really light...but my EDC is a Cold Steel Recon 1, the last version before it became a lockback. I keep it for emergencies or defense, for utility I have a Cold Steel Tuff Lite on my keychain...

SOG Flash I at the moment, but I've been thinking about trying out a Spyderco Dragonfly (2").

I carry an 8.5" x 11" manila folder. Ohhhhh I get it, my knife! Oh I think it's around 3.5" or so, but I can't remember. It's an SOG Trident.

I have shot my knives, chopped down trees with my folders, and any number of other things your not supposed to do with knives and they have ALL come through without a scratch. so no I am not afraid of them getting all jacked up.
