TLHelmer's thread on his new Kahr P9 got me thinking homonymicaly about my first car. The first car I drove regularly was a 1976 Datsun 710 Wagon. Four speed manual, four banger, no AC.

Later updated to a 1965 Impala Convertable in high school when I could afford my own.

So post pics and details of your first four wheels of freedom.

Had a 68 Chevy pick up with a 283, and 3 speed column shift, I think I paid $350 for it, didn't take me long to get rid of the column shift and put a hurst floor shift in it. Sadly, no pictures exist of that fine ride, and I sure wish I still had it.

1992 Plymouth Sundance (The Tank). 4 door, no reverse, spray painted crap-bucket. A $300 car that had over a thousand dollars in stereo in it. 32 corn fields in just under a month. It was totalled by an unlicensed/uninsured driver (you prick). Man I miss that car.

1980 Mercury Capri 200cid with a 4sp manual. My parents bought it new in 1980 and when I got it in 1989, it had 250k miles on it. You could not kill that straight 6 motor. Mine looked just like the picture...even had the metric TRX wheels that Michelin was the only company making tires for it.

A rusted out, fill the oil, check the gas 56 Chev 2Dr Sedan for $125.00. When it bit the dust my senior year, I got a 61 Impala 4 Dr Hardtop for my Graduation present. Could have got a 63 Impala 2 Dr Hardtop, but didn't know how I would have paid the extra $600.00 to get it. Ended up enlisting in the Army that summer anyway and sold my car.

Gold 77 Olds Starfire with a 231. Upgraded to an 86 Mustang 5/5. Once that got wrecked, it was pretty much junk until I got a 10 GT Mustang. That's my EDC now.

1994 Chevy Blazer. I put that thing through absolute HELL and it still runs.

I know it still runs because I saw someone driving it the other day...I know it was mine because it still has the dent in the front bumper from when I hit an owl.

A 1967 short-bed Ford F100 with a 302 in it and is fixin' to have a new paint job in a couple of weeks. It was my dad's first vehicle but it's mine now, he bought it off of a farmer he knew that had purchased it new.
