Marlin Model 60 and I put almost 500 through it the first day. Ran that sucker til the plastic thing in the back of the receiver fell apart. Good gun, killed a lot of squirrels and other much larger critters with that rifle.
    Man, ammo was cheap then.

Being from ol' Mother England originally, my first rifle was my issue SA80 with SUSAT.
Then again it wasn't really mine.
So my first very own rifle would be the Mosin M44 that my father in law got me when I moved here.

Savage Model 99 Lever Action in .300 Savage. Stored it off-post at the house of a guy that was in my platoon. (he went with me to purchase it) He later pawned it, got sent to CCF (Central Confinement Facility) for drugs, and got dishonorably discharged from the Army. Never even got to fire it. :xmad:

My first rifle was a Marlin 30-30 336
It has been the only gun I have ever sold and I regret it to this day.
    It looked like this.

The first rifle I owned was a British .303 Enfield carbine I bought from a Pawn Shop in Mineral Wells, Texas for $21. Kept it about a year and a half and gave it to my Commander as a birthday present. I've had rifles I've wished I hadn't gotten rid of, but that Enfield wasn't one of them...

M1 Garand, picked it up at the Indy 1500 Show, cost me all the money I had at the time. 20 years later, and $400.00 in parts/repairs, it's still my favorite...

This. My dad bought it new when he was young, and gave it to my when I was about 10. It's got a weaver wide view 4x scope on it, and is still one of the most accurate .22s I have, or have shot for that matter.
