It's time for the semi-annual 'What's in your holster' question. Has it changed since last year? If so, why? Is your carry gear the same as last summer? Did you find something new that seems to work well for summer carry?

    For me:

During the summer of 2013, I was primarily carrying a Glock 23. The summer of 2014 has been about half Glock, half 1911. Glocks still have their place in my EDC rotation but I feel I shoot the 1911s better than I do Glocks right now.

My carry gear is the same this year as it was last year for 1911s but there's a Kramer scabbard in horsehide on order for the Glocks to bring them up to the level of the 1911 holsters. I don't use the Blackhawk Serpa much this year where as I used it daily last year. The MTAC kydex reinforced belt is still in good condition and will most likely last at least another year.

The only real change for me is that I use a Glock 19 as my nightstand gun now.

Sig P220 Carry with Hogue Grips and SRT trigger action. Galco Avenger holster. Just bought this set up in the last year as I wanted to step up to .45 acp. Felt safer for me than a 1911 due to longer trigger pull.

Gen 4 G19 with TFOs and rubber Talon Grips in an Alien Gear iwb holster. As a thinner guy, printing becomes an issue in t-shirts. However, I typically wear button downs so it's not a big problem.

I carry a Glock 19 AIWB and a Kahr CW380 in my pocket.. Kahr in the pocket is like a watch on the wrist honestly.

Replaced my trusty Kimber compact with a Sig P938 for summer carry. It's size makes it a little better to conceal in my summer clothes and with the IWB N82 pro holster I can't tell it's even there. This winter I will most likely switch back to my Kimber and my OWB set-up.

I was desperately trying to trade off the 24/7Compact because of A.) my love of 1911's and 2.) how bad the trigger sucked. Last weekend I was shooting it again making sure I still hated the trigger and nothing would make me happier than trading it off for a compact 1911 and the wierdest thing happened. No, it's not that I spelled Weird wrong, but the trigger smoothed out and lost almost all of it's gritty feel. Huh... imagine that. I no longer hate the trigger and having 11-13 rds of .45acp on hand isn't such a bad thing.

So that's where I am. EDC is the stainless 24/7 Pro Compact. On "special occasions" I carry the Springer Loaded.

Couple of changes for me from this time last year. I discovered the Colt Mustang and love these things. As for holsters, I am now making my own so I have been using this combo while tossing the Defender in the mix as well.

Last summer I was totin' around an M&P 9c in a Crossbreed Supertuck. This summer it's a Glock 19 in either a Supertuck or Blackhawk Serpa. If I'm just hangin' around the house there's a Glock 17 in that Serpa.

Last year was a Sig 226 in a Galco concealable. This year the Sig is still there, but also a 9mm RIA and a 45 RIA both 1911`s in a Galco C.O.P.
