    1) concealled handgun (glock 19)
    2) folding knife (benchmade Emerson specwar)
    3) non-lethal weapon (ASP collapsable tactical baton)
    4) flashlight (surefire exec e2e)
    5) cell phone

I have spare mags in the car. I figure if I need more than 15 rounds I brought the wrong gun. :)

Shame if you don't have a non-lethal weapon in your arsenal!

Obviously you need a concealled carry permit for this lineup.

I would be remiss if I didn't at least suggest the following:

    6) Cash

So what do you feel are the necessities of urban survival?

Urban survival? Just enough to get back out of town!

    - XD40SC
    - Pocket Knife (Kershaw Chive)
    - Cell phone
    - a little cash, and my credit cards (after I dispatch the zombies, I might stop for some grub)

I don't carry a "non-lethal" weapon. I can't think of a situation where I'd rather just club someone. I might add pepper spray to the list, but only because my wife carries it.

Of course, this doesn't include anything in my GHB.

+1 on the pepper spray. I like the option of a nonlethal standoff option. Of course I use it with my off hand in case the situation deteriorates.

my everyday carry gear, give or take, you guess which one :)

    1. pistol w/ sufficient ammunition to take on a patrol of zombies and decimate them, and still shoot dinner.

    2. mini survival kit, in the pocket (72 hours, no water)

    3. Gerber EOD multi tool

    4. back up pistol and enough amunition to kill at least half a patrol of zombies.

    5. communication

    6. flashlight

    7. cash and change for vending machines and hookers

    8. ID's and such

    9. potential non-lethal weapon (hands and feet) always can be elevated if needed by a bullet

    10. common sense (avoid everyone!)

    11. mints or gum (i like fresh breath) :) seriously

    12. a 550 bracelet

    13. watch with compass and every doo dad you could ever need besides a photon beam.

    14. In the car i carry a full BOB that is designed for 72 hours for me and my Fam, but will sustain just me for about 9 days if neccessary.

Items not carried everyday & ONLY USED IN AN EMERGENCY if all is FUBAR:

    1. innocent civilians to throw in front of me as a shield

    2. william shatner, so i know i will be able to afford a hotel room

    3. robert deniro, so i can watch him give someone the stink eye and know he will bring the alcohol

And if all hope is lost:

    1. Arnold Swartzenegar, so he can morph into the terminator and fix everything

I disagree with the mag statement. My Urban kit has 2 spare mags in it.

Also, my Urban kit is the same kit I use for Meth dealers, dog packs and anything else Urban or Rural, road trips or camping so this way I know the kit. It is on a kitchen chair right now by my laptop bag.

I carry it to and from my vehicle every day and 2 weeks ago I climbed up a 320' limestone ridge with it on, at times crawling straight up, and had no issues but I expected no less as I have used it for 2 years. Just an example of how well it works. Because it works, I carry it.

The key for me is my TDI Kabar fanny pack. I bought it 2 years ago from Tacticalshotgunner.com It is not listed on the web site right now but I just talked to Ron before posting this and he has them in stock.

While the contents of my kit are secret, I would suggest:

    G19
    2 spare mags
    mace
    TLR 1
    spare batteries
Toollogic survival knife SL3 (knife, whistle, flint plus I add tinder)
    Purell individual anti bacterial wipes
    Money
    Quality windproof lighter
small flashlight Like a streamlight stylus, Inova X1 or Gerber Infinity
Truck keys go in it when I wear it
Few bandaids and a powergel. Even a few latex gloves in very small small baggie

If I want more "stuff" 1 mag gets dropped and a small Aloksak with that stuff goes in its place, like meds. This may sound like a big list and big sack but trust me this pack is small and it packs great. Everything has its place.

This does not replace day bags, vests, or other gear in my truck, it is just a complete kit in itself for self defense, travel/walking and fire. One of these days I will add 1 Triox bar. I put triox in everything.
