whiteman if you like 52100 you should check out swamp rat and scrapyard knives, they call it SR101 but its the Busse heat treated 52100.

hard to beat the stuff for the price point...

scrapyard is some great blades for killer prices sir. here's a nice big camp knife that could handle most any chore for a great price in sr101 with one hell of a comfy handle.

Best steel for knives? Whatever Remington,Robeson,Case used before 1960!

I thought about getting a scrap piece of steel and shape it into a knife using a grinder/dremel tool and then a lansky sharpening stone to put an edge to it.
