Just what i said, how do you remove Duracoat? I have a pistol that will be machined, and i want to change the color, but i have never removed it before. Thanks for any help.

There is a process of using Dry Ice as a blasting agent and if there is a service in Indiana that would be the best way of doing it,

Maybe some of the machinest in the area will know of a place

Will a marine grade paint stripper remove it? :dunno:

I know where regular paint stripper would not touch the factory
paint/baked powdercoat on a set of motorcycle rims the marine
    stripper whisked it right off.

I would go w/ the dry ice blast (but it can get expensive), or a glass bead blast. I have used the glass bead media before, it works just as well as grit only it doesn't remove the base metal...

Used this method to help another Ingoer that had a bad Duracoat job on a Kimber. Worked fine without using any abrasive.
