What's the LOUDEST gun you own?

Barrett .50 is the loudest I've ever shot. I'd buy one but they're illegal here now. So that's on the indiana wish list.

Loudest I own now Remington 700 .338 LM

You can still own a .50 DTC, I believe.

I've got a Contender in 35 rem 12 inch hunter bbl, So loud I refuse to shoot it without hear even while hunting, for this reason I don't use it much

I have a pre-64 mod 100 win. in 308 cal and it by far is the loudest I own. I see some people saying the ar10 is real loud I want to buy one but hope it is not so loud. That it takes the fun out of shooting it.

+1 Guys, don't let your bravado damage your hearing. When I was younger I sometimes didn't use ear protection, and regret it now.

Ditto. The same with eye protection. You never know when you will need it, so wear it

Loudest, probably the .308 Enfield sporter. Most distracting, probably my .44 BP 1858 Remington replica in my avatar. Gotta love that much smoke and noise in a small package!

I guess it would have been my 4in .357's shooting 125 grain bullets with Dupont SR4756 powder. Other shooters on the range would leave when I shot that round. The rounds were not too hot but the powder was evidently too slow burning for the barrel length. The concussion if you were off to the side was pretty bad and so was the noise. My .22 hornet in the 10in barrel Contender was pretty loud too. It would ring my ears unless I wore a pair of earplugs and another set of headphone silencers.
