I was reading through the Bravo Company catalog (version 9), and noticed something odd in the picutre on page 7.

My scanner doesn't want to work, so I took a picture of it.

Look closely through the opening in the upper, and pay attention to the bolt and round.

At first I thought it was an "action" shot, and it captured a round chambering, or just ejecting. But after further looking, the finger is off the trigger, so it is unlikely the action is cycling.

Looks to me that this guy has a jam that needs to be cleared.

Wow, now thats what I call bad advertising. How in the world did they miss that? That was the fist thing I saw on the picture, it sorta leapt out at me.

I doubt these catalogs were actually designed by people who knew what they were looking at.

Maybe you guys are serverly underestimating the shooter. He pulled the trigger, then took his finger off the trigger and is SAFELY watching his round hit the target.

Maybe some here will remember the HK advertisment showing rounds loaded backward in a pistol mag. Definately an ad man with no firearms experience. Humorous to us but I would guess HK was not laughing.

Same here, it's the selling point, i think.

Or maybe it was an 'accident', and the company that produces the magazine favors the AK-47? The world will never know...

Its even worse for the pistol training website. Its like saying they are going to train you to put the round in wrong.

Those ads are insane. I can't believe they'd give them to the printers before having someone technical review the drafts. I can understand the advertising agencies not catching it I guess, but not the people from the training group or the manufacturers. Even ANYONE from the manufacturers could catch that in the photos of the loaded magazines. It jumps right off the page.

It did give me a good laugh this evening, so thanks for that...:yesway:

I'm waiting for other ones you guys have found...

Hmm guess I'm the only one who noticed he is shooting right handed and wearing a watch on his right arm(normally done by left handed people).

I do that. I just find it more comfortable. That, and I think Im a tad bit more dexterous with my left hand when it comes to small things like shirt buttons, watch clips, etc.

    HA!

Editor fail on the ad. Just not paying attention to the details.
Probably wanted an action shot and did not look to close.

You would be amazed at the kind of mistakes that can slip past
on a printed piece. Even with multiple people looking at it and
proof reading several times (including customer proof reading)
some sscrew ups still sneak past occasionally.
    :)
