For rifles and shotguns, I like old wood and steel. My two favorite rifles are the M1 Garand and the FN49. My collection of M1s has examples of six manufactures (Springfield, Winchester, Harrington Richards, International Harvester, Breda, and Beretta). I have examples of the FM49 in four of the five cartridges that were manufactured. I don't have the Argentine 7.65X53, but I do have the Argentine in 7.62X51. My eyesight is poor enough that the Luxembourg FN49 with a scope and M1 with a scope on an Amega Mini Scout mount are my favorites.

I don't shoot shotguns much anymore, but the Winchester Model 12 riot gun is my favorite shotgun.

I like 45 ACP pistols and the SAR K2 45 is my favorite pistol.

MG42 was a lot of fun. I enjoyed firing over 700 40mm one day overseas with an M203. I really like shooting 41 Magnum.

Glad to see some combloc caliber love here! +1 for 5.45x39. It took me a while to deviate from 7.62x39 so I missed the "golden era" of hella cheap 7N6, but once I did I really never looked back. I still enjoy shooting 7.62 and 5.56 AK variants, but that little poison pill is addicting for sure.

Oh, and I hear IWI did something kind of neat recently. Something about a Galil and 5.45...

    Ruger Charger "Mare's Leg".

You get a cheek weld on the stubby stock and, using the dot sight, it's about as accurate as a rifle. It'll ring the steel at 100 yards every time I do my part.

Ditto.. Unfortunately I’ve only got one can of 7n6, and a crappy kit build by century that hasn’t blown up yet so I jumped on the 5.45 train a little too late aswell. I plan on getting it rebuilt on a Childers receiver if any CHF CL barrels come back in stock at k-var or ak builder but they’ve been OOS for awhile so I might have to find one second hand. I wish I would have got a 104 when they were around!

Those galil aces look like a lot of fun to have. It’s too bad only 1090 of them were made.

Gosh. Pretty much it's whatever is against my shoulder or in my hand at the moment. Favorite rifle calibers are probably 6.5x55 Swede, 6.5x50 Jap, 30-06, 7.62 NATO/.308, aww, who am I kidding? I like them all. :): Pretty much the same with handgun calibers. 22lr, 9mm, 7.62x25, yadda yadda yadda. :)

Just about everything that I fired when Uncle Sam was buying the ammo was fun....

    1911, M203, M60, M2 were all fun.

L1A1, Uzi, MP5, SA-80, Sten gun were fun, too.

Our youngest and myself got to shoot 6 different full autos at a fellow INGO member's range renewal party a few years ago. As much fun as the Glock 18 was to shoot, we both liked the Uzi better.

As for stuff I own, the good old Ruger American in .308 with Leupold scope and handloads. Every single deer that it was aimed at was dead within 30 seconds. Shoots quarter-sized groups at 100 yards.
