I am not sure of the cost compared to a 91/30. If a 91/30 costs $100, how much would a M44 Cost?? or thereabouts...

Aim Surplus in middletown ohio is a good dealer. They have 91/30 mosins for $69.95 but will only ship to FFL 01 or C&R (03). The model m44 should be under $100. Apply for and get a C&R license($30 for 3 years). It will pay for it's self after a couple of purchases. Southern Ohio Gun is another good place as I got a M44 several years ago for $89. They should'nt be much more than that with a C&R license:ingo::patriot:

Neither one has had any M44s for at least a year, and I don't think anybody has imported any since. Run of the mill Soviet refub M44s haven't been under a c-note for just as long, and that's if can find one.

Yep, I've been checking Aim at least twice a week for over a year to see if any M44s pop up, and no luck. Aim does have a message saying 91/30s will be back in stock soon.

I posted a WTB for one last fall and ended up buying one from an INGO member for $80.

My advice is to try the same, one will pop up eventually.

If not, there's a lot of other great milsurp rifles out there..

I ran across one at a small gun show last month and was pleased to get it for $175.00. Check out Armslist.com Every now and then they will pop up for sale on there in the $150-$190.00 price range. My search is now on for a M38 and M39 to add to the collection. :D
