    If you use an impact puller with pointed bullets a piece of foam is recomended for the "well". That will "catch" the bullet and prevent deforming the point. I haven't noticed any issues with JHPs deforming.

    I've save about 200 9mm, 45 acp rounds with my impact hammer.
