Once the wind and snow calmed down post 3 p.m. I got out with the 9mm and blasted some soda cans in the snow. A couple of them were full to start which made a cool effect on the white canvas. Nice way to spend an afternoon when work was cancelled.
The two places I shoot, 1 I have to share with hunters & stay away during deer season.
The 2nd place I need to pick up my brass, hard to do with the snow on the ground.
Has anyone been to Kodiak Range in South Bend?
Been thinking about checking it out for some winter practice.
No blasting done up here in LaPorte. We got just a dusting compared to indy as far as snow goes. Was nice to get out and check the coyote snares though.
Too hard to dig the brass out of the snow. Might ping some steel out of the garage window this afternoon though with a bolt rifle.
22 would be ok I guess.
Shot at Youngs Longshot before 12:00 noon. Shot long range pistol from inside and some 9mm outside. Snow didn't start up here 'till about 11:30. Stopped when it started to "white-out" and couldn't see the targets any more. Still a fun morn.
