Who hunts with a 300BO?

Who here hunts with a 300 Blackout? What have been your experiences? Would it just be limited to a close range tree stand gun or is it capable out to 200yds with quality supers? What barrel length and twist rate do you use? Thanks

My plan is to hunt with 300, but haven't had the opportunity yet. Order was just placed recently, now I need to wait to get it out of jail.

I’ve killed a deer at 60 yards with 10.5” pistol with RDS. 180gr cast lead running 1400fps. It was DRT.

Since .308 was approved that’s what I’ve used since given that if I can see it in my woods I can kill it.

Also kind of curious on this. I’m going on a Texas hog hunt in September. Planned on using a 9.5” AR with 110gr Vmax.
Everything I’ve read says it should be good but I haven’t seen any real world data yet

I've been meaning to for about 6 or 7 years but always grab the 6.5 gr instead. Who knows? Maybe this will be the year.

I'm very impressed with it on deer. 130 gr Barnes and 125 nosler bt messes them up good. Only have killed coons with subs.

I run a Ruger American in 300blk with a YHM can and Winchester deer season supers. Much success within 150yds

I’ve hunted with 300 BLK for a couple years. Only got one deer using 110 TacTx out of a 9” barrel, it dropped in its tracks. My shot was just inside 100m.

Yes, for a few years now. Barnes Tac-TX 110gr black tips is your friend for DRT shots.

Definitely best round for 300 bo. I use a AR platform with 16" barrel. Shoots 1 inch groups no problem at 100 yards. Never shot past that with it though
