After a range session with my wife, had to go to work. When I returned I found my 1911A disassembled and cleaned and slightly oiled setting on a towel on the kitchen table.
She told me she got it apart, but couldn't figure out how to reassemble the recoil spring/plug/bushing thing and after many attempts called it a night.
I showed her how to assemble it and afterwards took her to breakfast. How about that for a girl who never shot a pistol before? Priceless. She is an accountant by the way.
