    That explains why I only got one today. One shot was pretty long, and I was standing (no rest or sticks), and I could see missing it. The other was about 5 yards. I could see the detail on the nut he had in his mouth, through a 4x scope, and I swore he fell out of the tree, but never saw him again. Unfortunately, I was close to the property line, and he ran onto the other side of it, so, I passed up looking.

    I have (had) squirrels residing in my attic. I have shot 60 yes sixty this year in my yard / trees. I found they run farther from a clean headshot than a vital shot, but they all taste the same. I have found a shot in the spine is the way to go if you have the angle.
