Man I hope I can avoid Brad next weekend. Thing is he is just a good sort. Pleasant to see. I see a 0456 in my future.

Damn you Rhino.....I just Googled the 0200 and now I want one of those.

    I need to stop.

    I'm a helper!

If you want to see funny: watch what happens when I go to the show JUST TO VISIT and not buy anything, and then Brad dangles something like a Spyderco Military with carbon fiber scales and a CPM S90V blade in front of me. It's like a bored teenage boy watching television, then suddenly Sofia Vergara pops onto the screen.

    FIFY!

If I really want to go to my local knife shop "just to visit" I need to leave my wallet in the car. :):

In my family carrying a knife was always part of becoming a man. Every man in the family was expected to have one in their pocket. You also had to be prepared for one of the elders to ask to see your knife and if it wasn't sharp, they made fun of you for being too lazy to keep your knife sharp.

Dull knife shaming for the win!

At my father's retirement party, a secretary asked if anyone had a knife.
Everyone except my mom pulled one out of their pocket.
She asked why did we have knives.
We said in case someone asked if anyone had a knife.
Then half of us pulled out a second knife.

Why was your mom so selfish with her knife?

Well, I'm down to one cause I'm running out of room.
But this was in Chicago and I was trying to be legal. So guns were left behind.
So I had room for a knife on the belt, one on the boot, and one in the pocket.
One other brother had a second.
Another brother might have, I can't remember.

Hah! That's a smart move. Next time I'll try that trick, but somehow I don't think I'll fall for it.

That was taught to me by the owner of the knife shop.
He said he has to do that himself when he visits a knife shop or goes to a knife show.

Mine takes me back to my childhood. At 5,I told my pa I wanted a knife...

I remember being at the lumber yard with my dad when I was a kid...

In my family carrying a knife was always part of becoming a man...

Your first knife was a right of passage and probably the first step to manhood that you can remember, afford to collect and can show off to someone else.

Age __? You get your first knife. You can continue to afford(?) to collect more and you can show other people the knives you collect.

Age __? You think you are the first one in history to discover the secret magic of "Rosy". Free to keep doing but kind of creepy to show others (see Wienstein thread).

Age __? You do it with your first girl. Really expense to collect but is really dangerous to collect if married. Fun to show off and tell everyone.

Age __? You get your first car. Expensive to collect more but fun to show off.

Wanna see my collection of _____?
