Some people are collectors. Glocks aren't collector pistols, so they sell them to afford other collectible pistols.

Other people own guns strictly for self defense. Glocks are reliable self defense pistols. So the self defense shooters will continue to buy these most reliable self defense pistols cheap from the gun collectors.

I've got a lot of guns. My family has a lot of guns. Not one of uses or ever have owned one. Perhaps it's a family/personality thing, but I personally hate them, have always hated them, and will continue to hate them. Bleck.

    :puke:

That being said. I totally get why people like them. Their grip angles and sponge triggers just don't fit me.
That and both my M&P and my 1911 look wwaaayy sexier.
Then again just about every girl is prettier than the fat, ugly girl, so that's not really fair.

Hey, there is something to be said for the healthy girl with a good personality, and often they can cook too ;)

It's like the iPhone. They're selling the old model and trading up to the new one that comes out every 6 months.

I'm a Glock guy, but there is not that much innovation (new model every 6 months) coming out of Glock.

Also, I think of it as this. It is like people would buy Tupperware or Craftsman tools at garage sales. You did not have to worry about someone standing behind it even on a used purchase, and if needed, you can find a Glock Armorer on every corner.

It's like a Chevy truck with a 350 in it. Easily bought, serviced, and sold.

I've sold several Glocks to fund other projects or guns. The only one I sold for less than what I paid, was the 10mm G29. The rest were sold for more than what I paid. I'm not referring to the recent panic situation either. I also know I can easily replace a Glock I previously sold if I decide I made a mistake and want another.

Speaking for myself only: stupidity. I've bought and sold or traded four G26's. Now I want another.

Just for the record, I have 2 Honda Civics (2004 2-door and 2013 4-door) in the driveway and 2 Glocks (G19 & G26, both Gen 3s) in the house. From what I've read in the last 5 pages I'm doing ok. I've got other vehicles and guns, but that's for another thread.:D

Yep, Toyota Corolla, a few Glocks and a "healthy girl" in the kitchen. I'm right there. Boringly predictable. I tried a few of the fancier things in life on an occasion or two, but usually ended up disappointed. Go for the dependable, known quantity, and you are usually in good shape.

I don't own a Glock, and I've only shot one once. I did like it, but I didn't think it was anything to write home about. My question is, if Glocks are so darn popular, why does it seem people are always selling their Glocks in the classifieds section? This isn't just a local thing - I just moved here from Louisiana, and it was the same thing - people always selling their Glocks! If they're so amazing, why aren't people keeping them?
They sell them because they want to let everyone else have a chance at owning a Glock.
