Why treat prisoners humanely?

There are advantages and disadvantages to an elected or appointed prosecutor. The biggest disadvantages for elected is the "quota" mentality for campaigning. I think cronyism would be ramant in the appointed system.

Perhaps the best way to ensure the "Justice System" would be more fair would be to repeal about 90% of our current laws and ordinances.
