So happy she is getting better. We will pray for a full recovery. Don't forget to take care of yourself. It's easy to forget your own health when the wife is struggling. Prayers go out to your whole family.

    Not over yet

Made it home last night finally. Good to have her home.
Unfortunately this ordeal isn't over yet. When the hospital did the MRSA test I was under the impression the precautions were just that. Found out that the pneumonia was in fact brought on by the MRSA. More than likely there is substantial lung damage as a result. She is going to have to see a pulmunologist a few times to see just how much damage and to ensure the infection is completely gone. We are also going to have to make some lifestyle changes to prevent any further damage. Avoiding smoke, excessive dust, chemical vapors, that kind of stuff. Also any type of lung problem like broncitis or "regular" pneumonia will need immediate, agressive treatment.
Thanks again everybody! You're #1 in our book!

    setback

Yesterday she was complaining about not feeling well, very achy, and later very weak and having hard time breathing. Back to hospital. They put her on oxygen and some more antibiotics and some breathing treatments now are just going to moniter her for a couple of days. They think the pneumonia is attempting a comeback.

Back home again, hopefully for good this time. We got the infection early before it had time to spread. Another round of antibiotics and steroids now she is better than when we left the hospital the first time!

Incentive Spirometry. Do they have her doing that? May be atelectasis and just the lung collapsing a bit.

They had her using something like that. Seems to be working quite well!
