    Is this common?

My mom has always been into and carried a gun. My dad has never carried or owned a gun. It seems like its usually the other way around.

Edit: Thought Id add in my dad is not anti gun by any means, he has just never had an interest in guns. He is very right wing like the rest of my family. Except for my libtard sister:laugh:

The second most exciting thing a husband can hear from his wife is " Honey, it's time we bought a gun."

(The first being that XXX thing.) ;)

My grandparents are the same way. My grandfather never carried a gun, but had an old side by side shotgun in the closet hangning.

My grandmother on the other hand had a snub nose 38 special she carried almost every day while she was in the traveling sales force.

Both the grandparents are retired now and live in Florida and grandma still sleeps with her ole 38 on her night stand every night.
