Wifes first deer!

She got her first deer last night! The woman has no interest in using a gun but she's pretty handy with a bow. It was tough to follow the blood trail through alfalfa. 7 pt, scars on his nose, bout 150 lbs. I couldn't be happier for her.

She opted out of the mounting process...gonna keep the antlers and do something cool with them I'm sure...she named the deer "Scrappy" cause of the scars and broken tines...gotta name 'em to keep 'em all straight.

If you know someone that makes pens on a wood lathe, deer antlers make cool looking pens and she could show them off everytime she used them.
