Looking at a noveske kx3 or kx5 for my just right carbine in
9mm. The tpi is 1/2x28, will a 9mm pass through the opening
without issue? Any info will be helpful. Thanks for your time.

No, not even close. You won't be able to get a 9mm through a .308 hole either.

Actually the KX3 is rated for 9mm. I had one on my SBR and it even says it is fine on the Noveske website.

Just checked. It no longer says on the KX-3 part but used to? I wonder if they have a FAQ for that one? Not seeing it.

I would not recommend putting a KX-3 on either K-9 but I am biased toward dogs.

The OP was referencing running a .355 diameter round thru a Noveske KX-3 not just any flash-hider or muzzle-device.

Even if the hole happened to be large enough to accommodate the larger 9mm bullet, I would be terrified of baffle strikes. A baffle strike will ruin your day.
