When William "Wild Bill" Guarnere died at the age of 90, his family put his house on the market and a "flipper" went to see it. He had planned on lowballing them and then flipping it for a profit, till he saw the houses contents and found out who had lived there. Now it will be getting a second life as a rental for a disabled vet. Good on this guy!

I don't use the term "hero" very often. Bill Guarnere was a real hero.
