So, I'm a newb to the 1911 platform, and have acquired a Kimber CDP II Pro. I did a quick search around Wilson Combat's website, just looking around at all the stuff they have for 1911's and came across an interesting little "accessory" I guess.

    The Shok Buff.

Anyone use these? I thought it was an interesting idea. Says they are only good for about 1000 rounds...but, could easily be changed out during cleaning and regular maintenance.

    Interested in feedback, and thoughts.

Also, wondering if these are useful, would it matter on a bushingless 1911?

Eh, I think it's a solution looking for a problem. People put them in but you don't need them. Usually it doesn't hurt anything except the $6 out of your wallet but they can cause some reliability issues.
