Witnessed an attempted alcohol shoplift at circle k in Columbus, IN just before 12:30am on December 25th, 2012... 2 tone Brown 1997+ Jeep Grand Cherokee with 2 white males, one with a beard, and the link https://jenifer.scentsy.us/ on the back glass.

I left my name and number at the gas station, hopefully the cops will catch these idiot.

(PS: Next time you try to shoplift alcohol, it might be a good idea to NOT drop the beer)

If it was OUTSIDE the store then it was theft.

If it was INSIDE the store then it was ATTEMPTED theft.

If it was inside the store, it was nothing. You have to pass all points of payment without paying for it to be theft. How can you steal something from a store without leaving the store? Unless you cracked open a beer and chugged it, I suppose. But you'd still have to walk out without paying, for a crime to have occurred.

Even though I don't live nearby, I travel to Columbus about once a month in the winter. I've seen suspicious activity at the side of the store. It looked like a drug deal. That place looks like a magnet to this type of activity. Right after I saw the suspicious activity a marked cruiser came by. The young men had fled.

Something i learned along time ago....Mind my own business. Not worth Me getting shot over someone else shoplifting. Not my job to protect ANY store from shoplifting. This is how people get their arse shot off over something they should have never been involved in the first place.

Note that I didn't do anything until AFTER they had fled...a good witness I was.

That is what a good citizen should do and you did it, so that makes you a good citizen. Not getting involved at all makes one part of the problem.:patriot:
