How is relaying a FACTUAL incident reported in the news "bending the rules"?
A guy in Oklahoma converts to a religion whose holy book says "convert or kill" and shortly after, tries to convert his coworkers. They don't comply. He comes back after getting fired and beheads a woman and goes for another...exactly as it's written in his conversion material.
Did I just break a rule by stating those facts? It's. In. The. News.
I didn't disparage anyone's religion, however I DID say if someone endorsing that dogma brings force to my door, they will be met with equal or greater force in resistance.

The way you see things portrayed by the 'press' today, it would only be a "hate crime" if the person trying to convert someone to a certain way of belief was killed by someone else who was not a believer

I would advise any group of people of any affiliation (religious or otherwise) to not attempt violent conversion to said affiliation on a massive scale in the United States. It will not end well for aforementioned affiliation of people.

If the fruity-Jello eaters would stay in their own restaurant and confine their disagreements to the carrot-Jello eaters it would be different. When they come into my restaurant it is a different matter. I don't serve Jello, I serve Cake. If they could accept that I serve Cake and quietly eat the Jello of their choice that they brought from home we could get along. However, there appears to be something in the fruit and carrots that when mixed with Jello causes an allergic reaction which makes the afflicted people aggressively demand that everyone else change their eating habits to accept their particular favorite variety of Jello. Ignoring the tendency for this food grouping to have undesirable side effects is just asking for a food fight.

It's easy... "Fruity Jello Eater" is the _________'s answer to the _________'s "Flying Spaghetti Monster", only it is used to reference _______'s instead of __________s.

They are euphemisms for certain __________s that are "cleverly" used to avoid anything that can be labeled as "directly offensive", though likely, both still are.

Actually, my point was that it's possible the guy was just a crazy nut.

There was a shooting in my town awhile back that started with an argument about how a turkey was cooked. I don't remember any in depth debates on the merits of using an oven bag or a manual turkey baster. They mostly talked about the fact that the shooter was a crazy nut.

I don't think the discussion necessarily needs to revolve around jello-eaters, this action and the similar actions abroad are due to spoiled jello-sellers who have sold their rotten goods to jello-eaters who have now become sick and twisted due to the intake of rotten jello. I say find the spoiled jello dealers and use whatever means necessary to make sure they cease and desist with the activities that turn regular jello-eaters into rabid jello-zombies. if this is not possible than at the very least make sure they understand that the consequences for selling bad jello are severe and to engage in these activities will be harmful to their physical well being
