My friends dad just sold me a Taurus 38 special for a descent price :)
it is an older model and looks like it needs a good cleaning but other than that i feel like this was quite a buy

it looks like someone didn't wipe it down on the back after gripping it.
    started to rust a little

this what i know after looking up the serial on the Taurus website:
    Your Model Is 85B2
    Production Year 1991
    Taurus International Manufacturing Inc

Older model of a Taurus I am pretty sure is a good thing. All the people I've been talking to say the older Taurus firearms were constructed a little better. Congrats on the new gun. Look forward to the pictures of it.

One of my first guns was a Taurus .357 wheel gun and it performed well and their customer service was outstanding when I had a firing pin problem. Enjoy your new purchase
