Ummm...no-one was almost killed and the weapons weren't even on the set. They were in a warehouse (at the airport, according to other sources), in boxes. Just another case of cops needing something to do. The guns were used in England, while they were filming, I'd guess they were safe enough for that particular nanny state.

Heard that. I just hope they stay somewhat true to the book. The book was one of the best books in any genre that I have ever read.

Don't hold your breath. From what I've read about the movie it doesn't go along with the book very much. Fast zombies and lots of firefights. They aren't planning on staying close to the book.
