Anyone ever try to raise or store worms in an in ground bin? Any thoughts?

We had a concrete "tub" in the boat house. About 2' deep by 4'x2'. Filled it with Buss bedding to start then added coffee grounds, muskmelon rinds, egg shells, composted leaves, etc. Stayed good for years. The boat house was built into the side of a hill and the "tub" was built backing up to the hill side.

My sister has an indoor worm composter in her kitchen. Scraps in the top, worms in the middle, and dirt out the bottom. I suppose you could use them for fishing.

I use two 18" lengths of rebar pushed in the ground 6-8 inches deep at 12-15 inches apart then hook an old car battery to them and watch em jump in your bucket!

I have an 8'x8'x12" worm bin. I feed it egg shells, coffee, banana peels and the only thing that brings them to the surface in the light...rabbit manure. It doubles as my garden in the summer.

Iv'e been growing redworms for a year now.
It is very easy. I feed them cornmeal and shredded
Paper. Probably have about ten thousand or so.
