Got all I need...
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII. I am looking to buy 4 WWII rifles. I need the following.
1. British Lee Enfield Got one.
2. German Mauser Got one.
3. Japanese Arasaka Got one. Ended up with a type 99
4. Russian Mosin Nagant Got one, donated no less...
5. American M1 Garand Got one.
These rifles will be raffled off by my VFW that I am the commander of. The winner will be announced on Aug 15th, 75 years after the day of the Japanese surrender.
I would like pieces in pretty nice condition, but they need not be collector grade, numbers matching. (way expensive)
I will be traveling to gun shows with these once I get them, and have the tickets printed out, so people in other areas can have a chance to win. 75 years is a big deal, we just lost another one of our WWII vets this past week, (he was 97) and this will be a big win for someone.
One winner... will win the entire collection.
By the way, we take donations.
