This is honestly one of the coolest things i've read on firearms in a long time. To be able to go back in time and listen to a man who lived in an era where you lived or died by the gun on almost a daily basis was really interesting.

Wow, such a cool read! Not something that I’d go hunting for when trying to improve my ability to defend myself, but definitely practical advice!

As is often said today "slow is fast"

Earp: "Mentally deliberate, but muscularly faster than thought, is what I mean." That's probably the best way I've seen it put.

Earp: "Fast is fine, But accuracy is final. You must learn to be slow in a hurry."

Old saying: "You can’t miss fast enough to win a gunfight."

The bottom line is that you need to take the time to align your sights, but take no more time than is necessary.
