Does anyone have any positive or negative feedback for the XS night sights? I plan on getting my Glock 22 fitted with them at the next 1500 gun and knife show.

I like em. They're great for shooting relatively close targets while moving, not so much for longer range but with some practice that becomes a moot point. I'd recommend them for any pistol carried for protection.

I don't really care for them. They are difficult to use for any sort of precision, though, to be fair, that isn't their purpose. Still, they really aren't any faster than a well designed standard sight set.

They can be trained like anything else. People do get to the point where they can be used quite effectively at a variety of distances.

However, I have never found them to be any faster than a good set of sights with a wide rear notch. A more traditional set of sights also has the advantage of being easier to shoot more precisely. Standard sights give you reference points for both windage and elevation where I always found the XS sights to be dodgy on elevation.

If they aren't any faster and they are more difficult to shoot precisely, then what advantage do they offer? I suppose they might be good for older eyes but then so would a sight set like the Ameriglo I-Dot Pros, Hackathorns, or Trijicon HDs.

Why not have sights that are just as fast, but offer some level of precision if needed?

lots of people claim they are faster, ask yourself what police departments, millitary units, or professional shooters are using them? they tend to do or not do things for reasons.

They are awesome. I used them first borrowing someone's pistol in one of Tactical Response's courses. Although it had been pounded into me for YEARS to focus on the front sight, it was the first time I ever remember actually SEEING the front sight after an intense, reactive drill.

I immediately put them on my G27. They are as accurate as any of the "standard" sights. At ANY distance. I have hit steel at 100 yards with them. From offhand to bench rest, they are as accurate for me as anything else.

But the real advantage is that they are faster on target than anything else for me.

I am totally not a gadget, gear or the best new thing out there type of guy but these things are simple and work. Period. That's my kind of tool.

I had a set on my G19 and ended up replacing them. When I sold them, some interested parties asked me about them. Here's part of my reply (pertinent to the OP):

    Any problems with these?
No problems. The sights were fine both in fit and function. The tritium is as bright as the Trijicon sights on my other guns though not as bright as the Meprolights on my Kimber.

    .....

    Didn't you like them?
I expected too much from them. I still wanted to make precision shots at midrange (for pistol) distances and I couldn't execute those as well as I could with post/notch sights. I know the advertisements from XS say that it is possible. I just couldn't or wouldn't put in the time to practice it when I could do it easily with standard sights.

Do not get me wrong. That big dot jumps out at you for the real close range work but then again, as some pointed out in the past, it is possible just by point shooting or no sights at all. I wouldn't say they are worthless or even to claim the opposite, that they are the ultimate sight system. I understand that they work for a few people and not at all for others.

Sorry for being longwinded but I think you should know all this before you buy these and have high expectations.
