    I've met some real rocks in my time in uniform. Don't know that I've met anyone quite that bad. That's what basic is all about though. You don't know what you don't know.

    That Drill Instructor was A LOT nicer about it than mine would have been. You could that the D.I. didn't quite know what to make of this guy. He handled it very well I thought. I cannot even imagine what the D.I.s today must think with some of these knuckleheads they receive for "training". It also didn't look like sleep deprivation to me. I know all about that stuff. He was still attempting to deal with the whole basic training environment - his whole world was turned upside down when he arrived for basic. Every guy deals with it in his own way. Some get wild and crazy and other withdraw into themselves. Whatever works. I hope he qualed and graduated.
