Its in Nashville so of course it is expensive, but it is still a good place for him to get some hands on time with a good selection of ZT's.

Is there anyone that can compare the ZT 150 boot knife to the TOPS Ranger Short Stop?

Personally, I'd go with the ZT since it uses S30V. Being that it's going to be strapped to a boot, stainless will be less maintenance.
