Has your hammer ever failed to drive a nail (when you operated it correctly)?
Has your house ever hovered above the ground?

Has gravity acted on you the same way 100% of your entire life?
When you get over your balance point, did you ever fall 'UP'?
This is an overly simplistic example. Gravity is a lot more complex than you're describing here. Why can't quantum mechanics in its current understanding, explain gravity?

How long can someone keep digging the hole in which they are standing before it becomes too difficult to toss the dirt out of the hole? At some point it just keeps falling back into the hole, inexorably burying the digger.
This seems like a problem of gravity.

Sure, organized religion (of several different traditions) and science have had contentious periods, but the roots of science lie in religious exploration of God's works.

To bastardize the quote of a friend, "No need to reject a deity" in order to justify science.
    The reasoning here seems...circular.

    Jamil,

Yeah you got it for the most part I was attempting to state that Science and faith often interchange with time. Things were thought of as Science and proven to be different over time creates a grey area where some people still believe in old science. I think any science based in emotional studies is debatable and can be more of opinion than facts.

    My question
Does Science exist if we have not discovered it?

    BTW

I almost certain Printcraft believes Thor is responsible for thunderstorms and a few guys think red dot scopes are powered by magic!

I'm thinking that may vary from person to person. Consider just AOC's head...

Hi, I'm a religious person (Catholic, to be precise) and do not believe that science is trying to kill God. Nor is it even capable of doing so.

On the other hand, I've seen a fair share of science-y types, like yourself, who try to convince everyone to reject God by quantification. The problem with that approach is that there are gaps.

Science is not 100% results based, otherwise there'd be no need to fudge the gravity calculations in deep space. Or depend on the magic of "dark matter" to explain the calculation conundrum about how much mass there is in the universe to support the Big Bang. Heck, the Heisenberg Principle rejects the precision of measuring quantum states outright.

Whether reflecting Aquinian or Hegelian principles of philosophy and science, the reality is - and this is an objective reality - there is no requirement to divorce God from science.

I do have a problem with science so called.

    God is omni-scien-t all knowing.

Science brings us closer to God.
How old is the earth? What is your current knowledge of the origin of humans? Some things discovered through science seems to contradict what most Christians believe are the answer to those questions.

I can not help it that they are mistaken and refuse to accept the truth.

But my beliefs are not subject to your inquisition.

Itís true enough that there are activist scientists with agendas. I think many or even most really donít spend a lot of time thinking about religion, much less trying to destroy it. I mean, you have your Sam Harris types. But it appears to me that heís a minority.
