They don't have Shore Patrol, per se, in CONUS anymore. They have rent a cops augmented by active duty personnel, some on shore duty and some on temporary duty. It all falls under base security. Shore patrol is used to control liberty parties in foreign ports and is made up of ship's company that are in a duty status.
