So this past Monday when a guy opened his wallet to retrieve his DL to start filling out a 4473, I saw the badge and thought, "Moron!! You will never be forgiven for making the rest of us look stupid!!"....but then I realized he was really a bona fide copper and the badge was the real McCoy.
    He's forgiven.

I was in Pop Guns about a month ago and there was a guy and his wife (I'm assuming on the wife part) trying to buy one of the ccw badges they sell. The guys behind the counter were nice enough to let the couple know that you actually have to have your LTCH before you can get the badge. They wanted the badges engraved and were looking at the neck chains and belt clips for them. Guess if you're going to go you might as well go all the way!

If you wear a concealed carry badge, the chicks will ravish you.

That has been my personal experience.

I've also found that if I wear a New Holland Tractor shirt that I get the attention of the real hotties, but for some reason a John Deere shirts just seems to chiche` to become the target of a good ravishing. On the other hand, a pair of clean Timberland light tan work boots, only laced 1/2 way and left untied, now that will get you some attention in the urban hang outs.

I have always seen those advertisements and thought the same thing. Douche bag-ish. But, they have the money to consistently buy the advertising space, someone is buying them.

My original thought on this badge issue when I saw it, "everyone is wanting to be like Dog the Bounty Hunter". With what you guys are saying, not so much being Dog, but wanting to have his Beth!!!! :)::rolleyes::(:)::)::):

Here is a link to some other "collectable badges". Warning: There are two near the bottom that aren't family friendly.

Collectible Badges - collectible badges, police badges

I like the Mad Max badge. Who wouldn't want to be a Bronzer?

There's a joke that involves a high profile IMPD accident and Mad Max somewhere in the ether that I'm just not going to touch with a ten foot pole at this point.

I do like the Donut Police badge, but I'm really wondering why anybody would want a "Law Abiding Citizen" badge or the "Taxpayer" badge? WTF?

I pulled a civilian over on base once, he jumped out of his car as soon as he stopped, screaming something at the top of his lungs, reaching behind his back.

Once he finished crapping his drawers (hey, he darned near made me do it, I figured it was only fair to return the favor!) he showed me the wallet he was reaching for.... complete with American Taxpayer badge. The things have been around for a while. He'd started off wanting to be a douche, he paid my bills, he's a civilian and I have no right, etc. He did STFU on the traffic stop, then when court rolled around, tried getting snotty with the judge. Never, ever a good idea LOL.

I wear my Conceal and Carry badge around my neck and I continually quote lines from 1970s cop shows.

Watched a history channel show not long ago about Jesse James. The show spent some time following around some researchers looking for evidence of stashed cash and hide outs etc. All these guys were OCing and had badges on their belts. Had to pause the show (thank you DVR) to get a good look, sure enough "Carry" Badges. I'm guessing one of these things is the fastest way to get slapped with an 'impersonating and officer' charge if you ever did have to use you gun, or jumped in and helped in a deadly situation.... but then again maybe the sight of a badge will make the criminals realize how much of a BA you really are and they'll decide to go somewhere else. I'm patiently waiting for someone here to fess up to owning one of these things. I doubt they will, but with this site growing everyday and the lack of knowledge and common sense that we all periodically display here the odds are somebody's got one.... so who's got the balls to admit it? :ingo:
