This is a very strange, and possibly pointless post to be putting in the political section of a GUN FORUM.

I fail to see any good to come from this.

I have... no comment to this topic.

I honestly pity this man. I can't imagine being so consumed with rage and hatred the way he is, and I bet once I have kids of my own I will. I hope he can find it in his heart to forgive the man, but I can certainly understand if he doesn't.

what I don't get is why prison justice didn't do the guy in already... I'm led to believe the don't like kid-killers on the inside.

Jury Nullification. Perhaps the best example I've ever heard of. I don't care if it was planned, videoed, with a signed confession. Not Guilty.

Having kids tends to change the way you see things like this.

It also apparently reduces some members to such emotional wrecks that they become incapable of logically disassociating their need for personal revenge with the unjustifiable suspension of rule of law.

Hopefully "Dad" won't have to. Perhaps some good citizen will take care of it for him leaving no evidence to convict "Dad" with....and "Dad" will have a solid alibi.....

The read story and tragedy is the Plea Bargain system .... think of this .
If there were evidence of said crime .. why would you not be charged ?
When a plea deal is struck , and I am guessing .. 90% of the time the defendant is lying when he pleads guilty .
The judge and the prosecutor know it and condone it .

There is no justice in the criminal justice system any more .

it does. i can tell you that if it were my child, i wouldn't give two :poop: about the law. maybe you could sit back and contemplate the situation like Dr. Spock, but i can't. if this happened to my children it would kill everything decent in me, and i would then concentrate all my efforts to burning your world to the ground

Being a dad, I cannot say what I would do, had something liked that happen in my family. Unfortunately, this man hung himself by announcing his intentions of "vigilante justice".

The question that needs to be asked is if this decease child victim could speak, would he encourage his father to go to jail?

Obviously, this guy who committed such a heinous act was sick. Why was he sent to jail on not sentenced to a psychiactric prison? Human beings have the ability to perpetrate the most vile crimes upon each other that most animals do not do, as a natural instinct. If this guy is mentally insane, why would he be allowed on the streets? Criminally insane persons are institutionalized every day in the US. Something went horribly wrong with Rhode Island's justice system to allow a person with this guy's criminal insanity to be paroled.

These types of individuals get committed to a psyche prison and once they are off to prison, they are there a l-o-n-g time. By the time these freaks of nature get to leave, if they ever do, are too old to be any threat in a regular penitentiary.

I'm not sure how this has anything to do with the rule of law.

There are higher moral obligations than to follow the law. I think some of us think this situation applies.
