This being my first chop in, how many things should a person bring?
From what I've gathered so far, I should bring a machete, a big knife, and a bigger knife.
Should I bring a RMJ hawk or is that overkill?
Last time people brought some knives to show off and some to chop with.

You're not actually gonna compete with one of those things are you? I might consider trying to chop a 2x4 with one, but I don't think it would even scratch a free hanging rope. Might be fun anyway I guess.
Me too! I don't think my corn knife will cut it. This will be a learning experience for me.I'd love to have something nice to use at the event, but one of my biggest reasons for attending is to try to learn a little so I can figure out what to order.
