My phone is saying 97 with a heat index of 112 right now. The pool would be great but I'd probably burst into flames if I was outside too long. Gotta love being Casper white.

I had my long sleeve t shirt on all day again today. I did't wear a jacket or anything on my ride into work and it was actually kind of chilly. It was about 80 at 5:00 am.

I stayed inside today. Thought about jumping in the pool but decided against it. Inside is set to 68 no need to go outside today! Even the dogs decided they would stay in

Outside is a relief after spending all day around 2700 degree molten iron in a long sleeve cotton shirt and a silverback coat so I don't mind the heat.

Ahhhh the joys of working in a steel mill. It's 143 degrees out in the mill as of now (thermometer outside of my shack) I'm just glad i'm not in the melt shop, they're up on the EAF right now in long johns, long sleeves and pants with silvers and a nomex hood on top of it all.

Hottest i've been today was changing a lift assist cylinder under the cooling bed, 4" round bars at 1200 degrees about 15' over my head for 45 min, i changed clothes after that.:noway:

I wrote my mom an email asking if she has seen the forecast for around here. Her reply was much to the same effect as Fletch's.

Looks like she is having highs around 115-120* (She's in Kuwait)
