The Beretta USA Facebook fan page has been indicating that Beretta is going to launch a new handgun soon. They won't provide any details other than two partial-pictures:

    Ow.ly - profile of @Beretta_USA (see "week 1" and "week 2")

So far from pic 1, it says 'made in USA' and '9 para' so we know it's a US-made 9mm. Pic two is just the trigger and it looks like polymer closer to their px4 line.

I'm thinking this is possibly a "micro-9" like the pm9, cm9 lc9, kimber solo, since they already make a full size, a compact, & subcompact in that line and their subcompact is made in the USA as well.

What do you think it is? Regardless of the pictures, what would you like to see Beretta come out with?

I bet it's a small single-stack to compete with the Walther PPS, Ruger LC9, and Kahr's offerings.

Beretta has nabbed the name "NANO" as a registered trademark.

Guessing that it is going to be a true micro 9mm and not a music device, although I consider controlled gunfire to be music to my ears!

:rockwoot:Beretta makes a solid, reliable product ! The model M9/M92fs has proven to be a solid handgun. Many of their designs are just too futuristic/space age/"Jetsons" for my taste.

    stryker fired

    hmmm

    kinda disappointed on first reaction.

No kidding, so they go from all DA/SA to their first striker fired 9mm that has a trigger safety like a glock instead of a slide safety, has no slide lock-back, all at MSRP that is 100 bucks more than the cm9 . . .

For someone who was hoping it would be similar to a 'tomcat in 9mm', I am disappointed for sure. I'm curious how they are going to make this product seem different than the handful of other 'micro-9s' with the the same features.

The article says no external slide lock back. I wonder if it does lock back on an empty mag, then you must remove the mag and rack to close, or insert a loaded mag and rack to load?

I do wonder if it is like the Taurus striker fired with second strike capable?
