The drama and game-playing has been there since day one of season one, and is part and parcel of the show's formula. If you take the drama out of "Top Shot," you get "Top Guns".

True, the drama was there, but I don't recall it being as blatant and extreme as season 3 and 4. I also don't remember there being this much crying either, except when Taras father was dying in season 1. I could be wrong, I may need to go back and watch season 1 and 2 again.

IMO, the challenges these last two seasons have been better than ever in terms of uniqueness, variety, difficulty and being visually interesting. Last season probably has a bit of an edge in that regard, but they both are head and shoulders over the first couple seasons. Ditto for the range of weapons used on the show.

I do agree with you on that, each season the challenges get better and better, there just needs to be less and less drama. Small levels are fine and to be expected, just not the excessive stuff...

Of course if there had been a string bikini shoot-off, without both ladies that would have been a bit peculiar.

My wife and I would be bummed if they cancelled "Top Shot" but we are also both getting tired of the drama and tears.

As for "Sons of Suck", they can flush that show down the toilet.

I almost cried, just because Littlejohn made it and Gabby got sent home. At least William "I can't do anything wrong" Birthards got sent home...

Although, I was very glad to see a lady go that far this season! Hopefully next season, if it runs, will have our first Lady Top Shot??

Ive enjoyed this show but I too just end up dvring it so i can fast forward all the dumb stuff that goes back on at the house. I just like seeing things get shot!

I would almost put money on it. After years of lackluster female contestants, the producers probably feel it's time to have a female winner.

I really like the show. And the drama. Makes you root for the Justin's every time.

I also was sad to see gabby go home. "Congrats on being the first solo round female...now GTFO you've fired your last shot."

Can not believe everything on the Interwebz. I watch it for the challenges and that's it. People that say it suck. Lets see you create a better show then.

The competition part is always cool. It was season 3 that I declared in another thread that if they didn't slack off the fake drama I was going to quit watching. Then like others I just went to dvr, and fast forward through the crap leaving maybe 15 minutes of viewable content. At least Top Shot does not make those involved in shooting sports look like goofy gullible gomers like Sons of Suck does.

Even with the fast forwarding there is far more viewable content in Top Shot than Sons of Suck which is absolutely unwatchable and full of fuzzy to inaccurate information.

Keep in mind who these shows are for. Not shooters. My brother in law loves these programs and as a result has developed an interest in firearms. Drama draws viewers. Which is why reality TV is so popular. I personally don't watch reality TV but that is my choice.

See, it's an insidious attempt to draw the sheeple into the gun culture. Would've been better if Gabby had stayed, though.

The remainders just aren't doing it for me.

I like this show (just started watching end of last season) and the wife likes it. Downside.... now she asks " can I have that and that and that and do you think I would like this? ....) she asked about the new Hk 416 and if I wanted one the other day... This show is going to get expensive....

I'm going to bet this show is fairly expensive to produce, that's why it may not picked up as much as any reason.

Colby's dental cleaning bill alone is probably as much as other shows entire budget.
