When does a statist pig have enough power to satisfy its hunger for power?

A statist pig NEVER has enough power to satisfy its hunger.

Friggin statist pigs need to be put back in their cage.

House Democrats said Tuesday they will offer an amendment to push to overturn stand-your-ground self-defense laws in states like Florida.

The Progressives will be hear to explain how both parties are the same here shortly.

What's really wrong with this is the threat to withhold federal money to states with such laws. If the states didn't have their hands out they'd be in a better position to govern themselves.

Perhaps those states affected by this bill (should it pass) should withold funds typically sent to DC to fund the anti-gun legislators. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. You don't like what we do? We don't like what you do. You stop giving us stuff? We stop giving you stuff.

    Secession sounds better.

if this stuff keeps up they will be with holding fed money for other laws like handgun permit laws etc...

With all of the "excitement" over a national reciprocity carry law, you may well expect a federal gun permit.

Good God, we need to get the central state back within the boundaries established by the States in the Constitution.

    This endless reach is unacceptable.

"'Shoot-first' laws have already cost too many lives. In Florida alone, deaths due to self-defense have tripled since the law was enacted. Federal money shouldn't be spent supporting states with laws that endanger their own people,"

This won't pass... but I would say this could SAVE money by not having to pay for public defenders...defending thugs who murdered unarmed citizens. If it did pass, it would save deficit dollars as well...by not funding another entitlement program.

    Sounds good.

    Secession sounds better.

That is beginning to sound more appealing all the time. It sure looks like it's going to come down to "that which can't be named on this forum" eventually anyway.

Right now though, I am not going to tie my stomach up in knots over this vote no matter how angry it makes me. It is hard for me to believe that there are enough Senators who aren't afraid of the backlash from all the gun owners to do more than throw the race baiters a symbolic bone.
It does anger me though that there is even a remote possibility that years of fighting for our rights can be set back by one alleged crime that hasn't even been yet decided in a court of law. Still, I definitely think we all need to write our Senators immediately. And keep careful watch on how everyone votes. This will be very telling....oh, and keep your powder dry!

We need to have an amendment legislating politeness.
